Commissioning of F-03AB two-chamber ethane fraction pyrolysis furnace at EP-300 Unit of Monomer Plant was completed yesterday. Today, adjustment of the pyrolysis mode is in progress with capacity approaching the design rate.
The F-03АВ furnace has high yields of the end product (ethylene) and produces 27.8 ton/h of high pressure superheated steam.
The control and management system of the furnace is based on the state-of-the-art EC&I equipment by leading world producers and modern PCS by YOKOGAWA (Japan). The furnace has no equivalents in Russia as far as its capacity is concerned (32 ton/h, feedstock). Another peculiarity is its capability to run on both unblended ethane and mixed feedstock (ethane + NGL).
F-03АВ was designed and engineered by Tekhneftekhim Closed JSC (Moscow). It is sure to provide for consistently dependable service of Monomer plant EP-300 Unit and efficient environment protection. All the equipment made use of in the project conforms to industrial safety regulations.
Operation of the new furnace will allow to process up to 100 tsd ton/y of ethane which is currently supplied to Monomer plant by Gazprom Dobycha Orenbourg LLC.
Construction of the furnace is carried out according to the investment program aimed at increasing EP-300 current capacity up to 380 tsd ton/y as per ethylene. The program is to be implemented till 2014.
The capital investment in the project amounts to over RUB 798 mln.
