Commissioning and start-up of a new gasholder at the Oil Refinery are completed.
Gasholder is a fixed structure meant for storing gases.
In 2006 due to physical deterioration and obsolescence of the existing gasholder the decision was made to replace it with a new one.
Construction works began in 2008 and SNOS regarded the project that was to promote stable environmental situation as one of the Company’s priority tasks.
CAPEX into the project exceeds RUB 108 mln.
The gas compression and fractionation unit of Shop No. 8, Oil Refinery, needs the gasholder as buffer solution. It helps minimize discharge of hydrocarbon gases to flare and provides for reliable operation of compressors.
