In September-October 2010 the Olympics of educatees of orphan homes and boarding schools - Minor Goodwill Games - will take place under the patronage of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District Grigory Alekseyevich Rapota with the assistance of the Guardianship Board for orphan homes support and Salavatnefteorgsintez JSC.
The Olympics of Minor Goodwill Games is a new direction of Salavatnefteorgsintez JSC social program continuing sport traditions of the company. It is carried out within the framework of the BRING CHILDHOOD BACK program of orphanage support and social adaptation of children.
The program of the Olympics will be realized in two stages: the selective round will take place in September among the children brought up in orphan homes and boarding schools of the Russian Federation subdivisions within the Volga Federal District. The second knockout round will be held on 7-9 October at children's health center Sputnik of Salavatnefteorgsintez JSC.
The program includes contests in futsal, swimming, draughts, pioneerball, darts and field-and-track relay race with the elements of «Veselye starty» (funny starts).
It will be recalled that Salavatnefteorgsintez JSC has started realizing its own measures within the framework of the «BRING CHILDHOOD BACK» project of orphanage support and social adaptation of children deprived of parental care on June 1, 2010.
Arranging such sporting events is a part of company social policy. Large-scale sport events were carried out: the All-Russian fitness-convention «Health wave», table tennis championship of Russia among juniors, the final of hockey championship of Russia among club teams and etc.
